Ak-Bulak is a ski resort in the Talgar district of the Almaty Region, Kazakhstan, set in the Trans-Ili Alatau about 40 km from Almaty. It has six runs and roughly 14 km of trails served by five lifts, including a gondola climbing more than 1,000 m of vertical. The resort doubles as a national training base for Kazakh athletes and makes snow to extend its December-to-March season.
