Akinomiya (湯沢市秋ノ宮スキー場) is a historic, non-operational ski area in Akita Prefecture, Japan. Ski operations are not active. Akinomiya was a small ski area in southern Yuzawa City, Akita Prefecture, Japan, with a single pair lift, about 177 meters of vertical and two courses. It effectively closed in the mid to late 2000s and was permanently shut by 2011, with the lift since removed; the former slopes now host an annual snow festival featuring thousands of mini kamakura igloos.
