About

Arolla is a high mountain ski area at the head of the Val d'Hérens in the Swiss canton of Valais. Skiing runs from about 1,984 to 2,877 metres on roughly 27 kilometres of pistes served by six lifts, with ski routes and touring terrain beyond the marked runs. The village is a finish point for the Patrouille des Glaciers, the military ski-mountaineering race from Zermatt.
