About
Artouste is a ski area above the Ossau Valley in the French Pyrenees, near the Spanish border in Pyrénées-Atlantiques. It runs about 17 km of pistes over a 700 m vertical, served by a cable car and funicular from the base at 1,400 m up to 2,100 m. More than half the terrain is rated easy, and the same mountain carries the Petit Train d'Artouste, the highest narrow-gauge railway in Europe, in summer.
