About

Bluewood is a ski area in the Blue Mountains of southeastern Washington, about 20 miles east of Dayton in the Umatilla National Forest. It drops 1,125 vertical feet across 24 runs and roughly 400 acres, fed by more than 300 inches of dry powder a year. The mountain runs entirely off the grid, generating its own power from diesel generators eight miles past the end of the commercial line.
