Brighton sits at the top of Big Cottonwood Canyon, about 30 miles from Salt Lake City, Utah. It spreads 1,050 acres across 66 runs with a lift-served vertical of 1,745 feet, fed by more than 500 inches of snow a year. Opened in 1936, it was Utah's first ski resort and still runs night skiing under the lights.
