About
La Flégère is a south-facing sector of the Chamonix valley in Haute-Savoie, looking straight across at Mont Blanc. A gondola climbs from Les Praz to the Flégère station at 1,877 m, and the Index chairlift carries skiers on to about 2,595 m, opening sunny pistes and serious off-piste lines. Since 1997 a linking cable car has joined it to neighboring Brévent to form one Brévent-Flégère area.
