About
Chautauqua Mesa is a historic, non-operational ski area in Colorado, United States. Ski operations are not active. Chautauqua Mesa was a modest ski hill at Chautauqua Park in Boulder, Colorado, with ski jumps and a short rope tow powered by a surplus World War II Dodge army truck engine. It operated from 1947 to 1952 and briefly again in the early 1960s before closing for good due to unreliable snow and Chinook winds; the site is now part of Boulder's Chautauqua Park.
