Chunkurchak is the closest full-service ski resort to Bishkek, about 30 km south of the Kyrgyz capital in the Chuy region of the Tian Shan. Five lifts serve roughly 10 km of slopes between 2,070 and 2,440 metres, with a vertical of about 370 metres split fairly evenly across easy, intermediate, and steeper runs. The base has yurts and Kyrgyz food, making it a popular family weekend trip from the city.
