Conquistador Ski Resort is a historic, non-operational ski area in Colorado, United States. Ski operations are not active. Conquistador was a former ski area near Westcliffe, Colorado, in the Wet Mountains. It operated from 1978 to 1988 (reaching about a 1,200-foot vertical drop with three chairlifts), briefly reopened in 1992-1993 as Mountain Cliffe, and then closed for good; its lifts were removed in 1996 and the base lodge later became the Hermit Basin Conference Center.
