About
Cuchara Mountain Park is a community-run ski hill in the Spanish Peaks of southern Colorado, on the slopes of the former Panadero ski area in Huerfano County. The hill rises about 1,500 vertical feet across roughly 230 acres, long used for backcountry touring after the resort closed in 2000. The nonprofit Panadero Ski Corporation rebuilt the old Riblet double chair, and in January 2025 it carried skiers for the first time in 25 years.
