About
Dobratsch (Villacher Alpe) is a historic, non-operational ski area in Austria. Ski operations are not active. The Dobratsch, or Villacher Alpe, above Villach in Carinthia, Austria, had a small ski area into the 1990s, but snowmaking was barred by drinking-water protection rules and the lifts were closed and dismantled. The mountain became Carinthia's first nature park in 2002 and is now a popular ski-touring, hiking and conservation area.
