About
Dorset Hollow Ski Area is a historic, non-operational ski area in Vermont, United States. Ski operations are not active. Dorset Hollow in Vermont is recorded as a lost ski area, but the proposed large four-season resort there was never actually built. Planned in the mid-1960s with an ambitious multi-base-lodge ski development, the project collapsed in 1966 after community opposition and a legal battle between the partners, and it helped inspire Vermont's Act 250 land-use law.
