Erlinsbach straddles the Aargau/Solothurn border in Switzerland's Jura foothills, near the Salhoehe pass. Its ski facility, the Skilift Saalhoehe, is a 300-meter drag lift at roughly 800 meters elevation, billed locally as the highest ski lift in Aargau. Run by the volunteer Schii-Team-Saalhoehi association, it opens only on the handful of days each winter when snow allows, including occasional evening sessions for night skiing.
