About
Hoya del Chingue is a small ski area on Cerro Huyliche about 11 to 15 km from El Calafate in Argentina's Santa Cruz province, overlooking Lake Argentino at over 700 meters elevation. A single chairlift serves the summit near 1,280 meters, with a short electric cable tow for beginners and two blue, one red, and one black run over about 3,000 meters of terrain. Unlike its larger namesake La Hoya near Esquel, this is a compact municipal-style area built mainly for local recreation and snow tubing.
