About
Jackson Creek Summit is the larger half of Snowriver Mountain Resort in Michigan's western Upper Peninsula near Ironwood, formerly the Indianhead ski area and now run by Midwest Family Ski Resorts. It has about 538 feet of vertical from a summit near 1,750 feet, with trails ranging from easy greens to mogul-heavy double blacks plus gladed tree runs. A new Voyageur Express six-pack chair cut the ride to the top to about three minutes; the resort's other face, Black River Basin, is the former Blackjack.
