About
La Plagne is a ski resort in the Tarentaise valley of Savoie, France, formed from ten linked villages spread across high open bowls. Its own sector covers about 225 kilometers of piste and rises to the Bellecôte glacier at 3,250 meters, giving a vertical drop near 2,000 meters. A Vanoise Express cable car ties it to Les Arcs as the Paradiski area, and the resort keeps the bobsleigh track built for the 1992 Albertville Olympics, the only one in France open to the public.
