About

Les Portes du Soleil is one of the largest linked ski areas in the world, spanning twelve resorts across the border between France and Switzerland, including Morzine, Avoriaz, Châtel and Les Gets. About 600 kilometers of piste and roughly 200 lifts are covered by a single pass, crossing the frontier on skis in several places. Its best-known run is the Pas de Chavanette, the Swiss Wall, a steep mogul field at the border that ranks among the hardest marked pistes in the Alps.
