About
Macugnaga is an Italian ski resort in Piedmont's Valle Anzasca, set beneath the east face of Monte Rosa near the Swiss border. Nine lifts serve 32.1 km of slopes split between the Monte Moro and Belvedere sectors, rising from 1,347 to 2,900 metres. The village preserves the timber architecture of the Walser, German-speaking settlers who crossed the mountains from the Valais centuries ago.
