About
Marshall Mountain is a historic, non-operational ski area in Montana, United States. Ski operations are not active. Marshall Mountain was a community ski hill just east of Missoula, Montana, that opened around 1941 after an early rope tow in 1937. Unreliable snow and financial pressures forced it to close as a downhill ski area in the early 2000s; the land later came into public ownership in 2024 and is used for mountain biking, backcountry skiing and other recreation.
