About
Ossipee Mountain is a historic, non-operational ski area in New Hampshire, United States. Ski operations are not active. This was the Mount Whittier Ski Area in West Ossipee, New Hampshire, located on Nickerson Mountain and operating from the late 1940s, with New Hampshire's second gondola installed in 1963. It closed in 1985 due to rocky terrain and lack of snowmaking, and the gondola towers and cable still cross Route 16 today.
