About
Sarukedake Kamo (加茂猿毛岳スキー場) is a historic, non-operational ski area in Niigata Prefecture, Japan. Ski operations are not active. Sarugedake (Sarukedake) was a small ski area on the slopes of Mt Sarugedake in Kamo City, Niigata Prefecture, Japan. Its chairlift opened in January 1964, but unreliable snowfall and financial trouble forced closure around 1970 to 1971 and permanently by the late 1970s; the site is now a hiking area where remnants of the old lift and lodge foundations remain.
