About

Showdown is Montana's oldest operating ski area, on Porphyry Peak near Kings Hill Pass in the Little Belt Mountains. It opened in 1936 as the King's Hill area and drops 1,400 vertical feet from an 8,200-foot summit, served by four lifts across roughly 640 acres. Average snowfall runs about 240 inches a season, and the hill stays small, local, and uncrowded.
