About
Mystic Miner at Deer Mountain was a public ski area in the Black Hills near Lead, South Dakota, running about 653 feet of vertical below a 6,654 foot summit. Three lifts once served 44 trails across beginner, intermediate, and advanced terrain. The resort operated from 1967 until it closed in 2017; Keating Resources bought the property in 2021 and is rebuilding it as Deer Mountain Village, a private residential community with limited member ski access.
