About

Tukino is a club-operated ski field on the eastern slopes of Mt Ruapehu, on New Zealand's North Island. It covers about 170 hectares with over 300 m of vertical, served by rope tows plus snowcat access to the upper field, and is reached by a 4WD road off the Desert Road. Run by its member clubs, it offers on-mountain lodge stays and stays sheltered from the prevailing westerly winds.
