Verbier is a ski resort in the Valais canton of Switzerland and the main gateway to the linked 4 Vallées area. It is known above all for its off-piste terrain, with lifts climbing from the village at about 1,500 meters to Mont Fort at 3,330 meters. Below the Bec des Rosses, the resort hosts the season-ending Xtreme Verbier, the final stage of the Freeride World Tour and one of the most demanding competitions in the sport.
