About
Auberge Du Lac Lucerne is a historic, non-operational ski area in Quebec, Canada. Ski operations are not active. This site in the Laurentians at Lac Lucerne was the original Chalet Cochand, founded by Emile Cochand in 1915 and often called the first ski resort in North America, with early J-bar and chairlift installations. The Cochand family sold it in 1966; it later became the Auberge Lac Lucerne and the historic ski chalet was demolished in 1990.
