Echigo Axiom was a ski area at the base of Mount Shimogondo in Uonuma City, Niigata Prefecture, Japan, originally opened in 1972 as Gongendo. It had about a 497-meter vertical drop with five courses and six lifts and was popular with snowboarders for its two halfpipes, before closing in 2002.
