About
Chambon-des-Neiges is a historic, non-operational ski area in France. Ski operations are not active. Chambon-des-Neiges was a ski station in the Massif Central on the northern side of the Sancy massif in Auvergne, France, opened around 1969-1971 with several lifts and runs. Hampered by a low base elevation and mild winters, it closed after the 2001/2002 season; the lifts were removed in 2004 and the site rehabilitated by the Auvergne Volcanoes regional natural park.
