About
Lyon - La Sarra is a historic, non-operational ski area in France. Ski operations are not active. Lyon - La Sarra was an urban synthetic-mat ski slope in the Fourvière district of Lyon, France, inaugurated in November 1964 with a single double chairlift on a 300 metre blue run. It was closed in 1975 because the abrasive synthetic surface injured skiers, the project was abandoned in 1976, and the slope and lift were fully removed in 1991.
