About
Snow Trails opened in December 1961 on a former dairy farm south of Mansfield, Ohio, and remains the only family-owned ski resort left in the state, still run by descendants of founder Dave Carto. The hill drops 300 feet from a 1,475-foot summit, served by six lifts across 21 trails and three terrain parks. It was the first ski area in the country to rely entirely on man-made snow, a bet that made it Ohio's first commercial ski resort.
