Murphy's

Murphy's, nestled in Ventura, California, is a rare gem of a point break that serves up world-class right-hand barrels over a rocky boulder bottom. The waves come alive with a west swell, particularly at low tide on a falling tide, starting at 5 feet and holding strong up to 8 feet or more. The northeast winds keep the water glassy, and though the surf is infrequent, the spot remains a secret oasis, often devoid of crowds. Access is tricky, requiring a descent over boulders near the iconic Point Mugu rock, but the effort is rewarded with some of the finest waves when conditions align.
