About
Big Moose Mountain stands above Moosehead Lake, five miles north of Greenville in Maine's North Woods. The non-profit Friends of the Mountain has run it since 2012, serving the lower slopes with a triple chair and a beginner conveyor while the upper mountain is reserved for uphill touring and cat skiing. Nordic skiers get a separate 9-kilometer figure-eight trail system at the base.
