About

Petersburg Pass (Mt. Raimer/Taconic Trails) is a historic, non-operational ski area in New York, United States. Ski operations are not active. Petersburg Pass was a ski area on Route 2 at the New York-Massachusetts line, opened in 1962 and later rebranded Taconic Trails and then Mount Raimer. Hampered by a steep access road and no water for snowmaking, it closed for good around 1980; the slopes on Mount Raimer are now hiking terrain along the Taconic Crest Trail.
