About
Renegade Mountain is a historic, non-operational ski area in Tennessee, United States. Ski operations are not active. Renegade Mountain near Crab Orchard, Tennessee, was a mountaintop resort developed beginning in 1967 where investors cleared slopes and installed a lift for snow skiing that opened to the public in 1969. The ski operation closed in 1988 because the region's snowfall could not sustain it, and the mountain later focused on golf before becoming a residential resort community.
