About
Scotch Valley is a historic, non-operational ski area in New York, United States. Ski operations are not active. Scotch Valley was a Catskills ski resort near Stamford (technically in Jefferson), Delaware County, New York, opened in 1962 and expanded in the 1980s to 21 trails and three chairlifts. After bankruptcy and several bad seasons it closed in 1998; the roughly 426-acre property was later sold to the Oorah organization for use as a summer camp, leaving the ski infrastructure abandoned.
