Tamiment was a Pocono Mountains resort in Pennsylvania, founded in 1921 by the Rand School and famous as a tryout ground for Broadway performers, that offered winter skiing on a chairlift-served slope where some golf holes doubled as ski runs. The resort closed around 2003 and was sold in 2005 to developers who auctioned its contents and demolished buildings.
